THS PTSA College Scholarships

Attention THS Seniors, the application for the THS PTSA College scholarship is now available here.  Because of the success of our Barnes & Noble book fair this year, we are fortunate enough to be able to offer two scholarships!  Please make sure to adhere to all of the instructions and deadline.  The application form and essay must be submitted to Guidance by April 30th, 2018 – no exceptions.

Superintendent’s Chat

FCPS Superintendent Theresa Alban will be at Ballenger Creek Middle School on Monday, Feb. 26th at 7pm.  These informal chats, sponsored by the PTA Council of Frederick County, are a really great way to ask your questions, gain insight and clarification to issues, and to introduce concerns to Dr. Alban (individual/specific personnel issues will not be discussed).  The event will end at 8:30pm.

Please stop by and take advantage of this event happening in our own feeder pattern!

Meeting Postponed…

Due to the impending snow this evening (already sighted in Hagerstown!), the PTSA is cancelling our scheduled meeting this evening.  The meeting will be rescheduled for next Tuesday, January 23rd.  Stay tuned in case time and location change (normally held at 6:30 in the Media Center).  Everyone stay safe and warm!

Barnes and Noble Book Fair

The THS PTSA is sponsoring a Barnes and Noble Book Fair to help raise funds for this year’s Senior Scholarship. Volunteers are needed to help with the Welcome table and the Gift Wrapping table on Saturday, December 16th at various times between 9:45 and 5:00.  Students who volunteer will earn volunteer hours. Please, take a look at the attached link to sign up for the time and table that works best for  you!!  

Donations for Academic Awards Night

The THS is sponsoring the Academic Awards Night on Thursday, Nov. 30th. A reception will follow the ceremony and we are asking for donations of a variety of cookies and small bottles of water. We anticipate 200-400 students and parents attending this event. Please, take a look at the following link…. and sign up for the item(s) that you are able to donate.

You may drop these items off in the main office between Monday, November 27th and Thursday, November 30th by 4:00pm. Thank you for helping us make this a fun and rewarding evening for our families and students!
